The Governor has signed a death warrant for the execution of Danny Harold Rolling. The execution is scheduled to take place at 6:00 p.m., October 25, 2006. We direct that further proceedings, if any, in this case be expedited. Matters pending in the trial court, if any, shall be acted on and orders disposing of those matters entered by October 9, 2006. A Notice of Appeal, if any, shall be filed by October 10, 2006. The parties shall file simultaneous briefs, if any, by 3:00 p.m., October 12, 2006. The record on appeal shall be filed by 3:00 p.m., October 12, 2006. We hereby reserve October 18, 2006, for oral argument, if necessary, to hear any proceedings that may come before this Court.
